Sarah Wilson

SARAH HAS PRACTICED AS A CRIMINAL LAWYER FOR MORE THAN TEN YEARS. SHE QUALIFIED AS A SOLICITOR IN 2010 AND TRANSFERRED TO THE BAR IN 2012. SHE NOW WORKS AS AN INDEPENDENT BARRISTER AND A DUTY SOLICITOR.

Sarah started working as a court clerk at Fisher Meredith in 2008. She completed her training contract as a solicitor at G T Stewarts. She worked at Kaim Todner Solicitors as a newly qualified solicitor in 2010, where she became duty qualified and also obtained her higher rights of audience. She transferred to the bar in 2012 and she has worked as an independent barrister ever since. She is also a duty solicitor with MK Law in south London.

She came up with the idea for Streetwise Law when as a junior lawyer she spent a great deal of time in the youth court. She realised that young people would benefit hugely from understanding the criminal laws that affected them most. She believed that if young people were educated about criminal laws such as STOP AND SEARCH and JOINT ENTERPRISE this could prevent some young people from coming to the attention of the police and ever entering the criminal justice system at all.
